Here’s an interesting thing that I sometimes do. I thought I’d share it with all of you.
Pick a time when you are around other people that you don’t need to directly interact with, and in a situation where you don’t have anything better to do. For example, at the supermarket, or waiting for a bus, or sitting in a park.
Relax, and let your mind un-focus for a bit.
As you look around you at everyone, imagine them as simply images of yourself, but yourself born in different bodies and with different circumstances and history. Then just watch for a bit as they/you move and go about their business.
Don’t try too hard. This is about un-focusing and for a moment dropping the barriers somewhat. Let yourself just experience for however long you want to.
For me it is relaxing and fascinating at the same time. It helps remind me that none of us are truly separate

Re: An interesting exercise
Sun, February 24, 2008 - 4:05 PMit feels freaky to me
it feels like it coudl be a conduit to anothers' energy which I simply do not wish to hav ein myself or aura.
Intuition and 'games' liek that are not the same. Respecting your gift is paramount. Allowing another's energy into your fielsd or the other way around loses power and integrity.

Re: An interesting exercise
Mon, February 25, 2008 - 9:02 AMThat's a great exercise, thanks for sharing. I do this myself, in a slightly different way. Do you ever feel that while you are doing this, an intuitive part of the other recognizes this connection, even if they aren't aware of it on the surface? -

Re: An interesting exercise
Mon, February 25, 2008 - 3:13 PMvery interesting and i do it a lot...
learned about it through some of my dance practices...
and extended it in 'real life' relationships...
try it with animals - you might love it...
or with children - yeeehaaa!!
just spent a weekend in the mountains - did it ( i call it the Mirror Work) there with the 'nature', the pines, woods and the Alps, the space between the mountaintops...
was struck with amazement...
amelie, i feel this recognition you write about...
beautifull...
love
